Genesis Precision Thyroid Care · Elverson, PA & Telehealth

Your thyroid care should be more than a quick TSH check.

You may already take thyroid medication but still feel tired, foggy, cold, constipated, unable to manage your weight, or simply unlike yourself.

Perhaps you were recently told something is wrong with your thyroid and want it evaluated carefully from the beginning. Or your results have been called “normal,” but no one has clearly explained your diagnosis, your antibodies, your medication options, or why you still do not feel well.

Genesis Precision Thyroid Care provides specialized thyroid evaluation, medication coordination, nutritional support, thyroid imaging, and ongoing monitoring — without requiring every patient to begin with a comprehensive functional-medicine program.

You are not imagining it

You deserve to understand your thyroid care.

Too often, thyroid care becomes a cycle — one marker checked, the prescription unchanged, and symptoms that never quite resolve.

  • A single laboratory marker is checked, and the prescription stays the same
  • Persistent symptoms are dismissed, and antibodies are never fully evaluated
  • Medication timing and absorption are overlooked, and nutrient concerns are missed
  • Thyroid imaging is never completed or properly followed
  • You are left wondering whether your thyroid was ever thoroughly assessed

At Genesis Functional Wellness, we take the time to review your thyroid history, symptoms, medication experience, laboratory trends, nutrient status, and thyroid structure — so you receive a clear, thoughtful plan.

A fit for focused thyroid care

This program may be right for you

You have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s disease
You take thyroid medication but do not feel as well as expected
You are uncertain whether your medication, formulation, or dose is right
Your thyroid has never been assessed beyond basic testing
You have thyroid antibodies or a family history of thyroid disease
You have a history of thyroid nodules or abnormal imaging
Your medication needs frequent adjustment
You want ongoing monitoring from a clinician who understands thyroid care
You want focused thyroid care without beginning a comprehensive program
What is evaluated

Every patient receives a complete thyroid evaluation

Comprehensive thyroid panel
TSH · Free T4 · Total T4 · Free T3 · Total T3 · Reverse T3 · T3 Uptake · Free Thyroxine Index · Thyroid-Binding Globulin · Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies · Thyroglobulin Antibodies
Together these give a broader view of thyroid hormone production, availability, conversion, binding, autoimmune activity, and response to medication.
General health & safety
Complete Blood Count (CBC) · Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
Relevant nutrient testing
Ferritin · Iron · Total Iron-Binding Capacity · Iron Saturation · Vitamin B12 · Folate · 25-OH Vitamin D
Fatigue, hair loss, weakness, brain fog, cold intolerance, and poor exercise tolerance can overlap with iron or nutrient insufficiency.
Thyroid ultrasound
A thyroid ultrasound is ordered for every new patient.
Imaging shows what labs cannot — size and volume, tissue characteristics, signs of inflammation or structural change, nodules, cysts, asymmetry, and enlargement.
Typically repeated every one to two years, or sooner when findings or symptoms indicate closer follow-up.

Laboratory and imaging charges are separate from the professional program fee. Genesis is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance; testing and ultrasound are not included in the program price.

A clear plan

A clear plan for better thyroid care

1
Evaluate

We hear your story, review your history, and order complete baseline thyroid testing and ultrasound.

2
Understand

We explain the findings, identify what may be missing, and create a focused thyroid care plan.

3
Monitor

We follow your response over time and adjust the plan as symptoms, laboratory findings, and medication needs change.

Without a clear plan, patients may continue cycling through brief appointments, isolated TSH testing, medication changes without context, and years of wondering whether their thyroid care is complete.

Program investment

Start with a consultation — enroll only if it’s the right fit

Everyone begins with a thyroid consultation. If the program is the right level of care, you can enroll in the first year — then continue with lower-cost annual maintenance once your care is stable.

Step one · Consultation
$24945-minute visit

A 45-minute thyroid-focused consultation. Dr. Abby reviews your intake and records beforehand; you walk through your history, concerns, medication experience, and goals. It also lets us determine whether the program is the right level of care.

Paid separately and is not credited toward the program — it does not require you to enroll, and if you choose not to continue there is no further commitment.
If you enroll · First year
$179/ month · 12 months
plus a one-time $175 setup fee charged at enrollment (monthly plan only)
or $2,195 paid in full by check or cash — about $198 in total savings (the $128 discount plus no 3% card fee)
After year one · Maintenance
$995/ year

Once thyroid care is stable — ongoing monitoring, routine laboratory review, brief follow-up visits when you’re doing well, six-month thyroid testing, thyroid ultrasound review with repeat imaging generally every one to two years or as clinically indicated, and prescription-renewal coordination.

What the first-year program includes
Comprehensive thyroid findings review
Review of thyroid laboratory testing
Review of thyroid ultrasound findings
Medication assessment and coordination with the prescribing clinician
Nutritional and supplement recommendations when appropriate
Follow-up appointments needed to work toward a stable plan
Laboratory monitoring during medication optimization
Six-month thyroid monitoring
Prescription-renewal coordination while actively enrolled
Guidance when thyroid-related needs change during the year

The number of optimization visits varies. Some patients stabilize quickly; others need more follow-up. The goal is to provide the thyroid-focused care reasonably needed to establish and maintain an appropriate plan — not to limit every patient to the same number of visits.

Laboratory testing, thyroid ultrasound, prescriptions, supplements, procedures, and outside medical services are billed separately and are not included in the professional program fee. Genesis is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance. A 3% processing fee applies to all card payments; paying by check or cash avoids the card fee. The first-year program requires a 12-month commitment. The program is not health insurance.

Autoimmune thyroid

What if I have Hashimoto’s disease?

Hashimoto’s disease is an autoimmune thyroid condition, so it may require more than simply watching TSH.

Within Genesis Precision Thyroid Care, we evaluate thyroid function, thyroid antibodies, medication considerations, relevant nutrition, nutrient status, thyroid imaging, and ongoing monitoring.

Some patients with Hashimoto’s also have significant digestive, metabolic, hormonal, environmental, or immune concerns. When those issues require broader evaluation, we will clearly explain why and discuss whether the comprehensive functional-wellness program would better serve you.

We will not quietly turn a thyroid-only program into an expensive, undefined workup. You will understand what is included and why additional care may be recommended.

Two levels of care

Focused thyroid care, or a broader investigation

Not an upgrade — a different level of care for a different level of complexity. Many patients start with focused thyroid care and move to comprehensive care only if the thyroid turns out not to be the whole story.

Why Genesis

Experienced thyroid care with personal understanding

Genesis Functional Wellness has more than a decade of experience helping people navigate hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s disease, thyroid medication concerns, thyroid nodules, and persistent symptoms.

This work is also personal. Dr. Abby has Hashimoto’s disease and understands the frustration of being told that everything looks fine when you do not feel fine.

Our role is not to assume that every symptom is caused by the thyroid. Our role is to evaluate the thyroid thoroughly, explain what we find, coordinate appropriate care, and recognize when another concern deserves attention.

Questions

Frequently asked

What if my TSH is normal but I still have symptoms?
Persistent symptoms may call for a broader review — thyroid hormone levels beyond TSH, antibodies, medication timing and absorption, nutrient status, imaging, and other possible causes. A normal TSH is meaningful, but it is one marker; we look at the fuller picture rather than assume every symptom is thyroid-related.
Do I need to be taking thyroid medication to enroll?
No. The program is appropriate for patients seeking a first thorough evaluation as well as patients already receiving thyroid treatment.
Is a thyroid ultrasound required?
Yes. A thyroid ultrasound is ordered for every new patient to establish a structural baseline and identify findings that laboratory testing cannot show.
Are laboratory and ultrasound costs included?
No. Laboratory testing and thyroid ultrasound are billed separately from the professional program fee. Genesis is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance.
Can Genesis prescribe thyroid medication?
Genesis evaluates your thyroid and coordinates your prescriptions as part of your care.
What if I have Hashimoto’s disease?
The thyroid program includes antibody evaluation, thyroid monitoring, medication review, selected nutrient assessment, nutrition guidance, supplementation when appropriate, and thyroid imaging. Broader autoimmune or functional concerns may require comprehensive care.
Does this replace my primary-care provider or endocrinologist?
No. Patients should maintain primary care and any medically necessary specialty care.
What if my symptoms are not primarily caused by my thyroid?
We will explain what the findings suggest. When broader investigation is appropriate, we will discuss the comprehensive functional-wellness program or appropriate referral options.
What happens after the first year?
Patients whose thyroid care is established may continue through annual maintenance at $995 per year.
Can I cancel before the first year is complete?
The first year is a 12-month commitment. Fees already paid are non-refundable, and paid-in-full enrollments are not prorated or refunded. To keep things clear and simple, the specific terms — including how the monthly plan is handled if you stop early — are set out in the patient agreement you review and sign before enrolling.
Can I be in the program if I’m pregnant or trying to conceive?
Yes — we care for pregnant patients, and thyroid health is especially important during pregnancy. Whether it’s the right time to begin, and what we adjust, depends on your situation: making sure your thyroid is adequately supported is a priority, while other changes may be best to hold until after pregnancy. We’ll always coordinate with your OB. Please let us know right away if you are pregnant or trying to conceive.

Important

Genesis Precision Thyroid Care is a thyroid-focused program. It does not replace primary care, urgent or emergency care, obstetric care, or medically necessary endocrinology or specialty care. Laboratory and imaging costs are separate. Prescriptions are managed by an appropriately licensed medical provider as part of your care. No treatment outcome is guaranteed, and the program is not health insurance. Pregnancy requires additional monitoring and coordination.
