Genesis Precision Thyroid Care provides focused thyroid evaluation, medication coordination, laboratory monitoring, thyroid imaging, and nutritional and ongoing support — without requiring every patient to begin with comprehensive functional medicine. If your thyroid is the main thing you want looked after, you may not need the full program to start.

This is not a seven-minute appointment. Your consultation is a dedicated session with Dr. Abby — your chronological health history, every prior lab and diagnosis, and the patterns no one has connected yet.
You’ll leave with a clear read on what we believe is going on, what testing would confirm it, and what working together would look like — timeline, structure, and cost. No pressure, no obligation to continue.
Transparent, private-pay care
Genesis Functional Wellness is a private-pay practice. We do not bill insurance for visits. This is a deliberate choice: it’s what allows unhurried appointments, testing chosen by clinical need rather than coverage rules, and a plan built around you instead of a billing code.
- The consultation
- A flat $375 — the same for every new patient. It’s a full working session with Dr. Abby: your history, your prior testing, and the timeline of how you got here, along with an honest read on whether comprehensive functional care is the right path for you. A clear, self-contained place to start, with nothing further required.
- If comprehensive care is recommended
- If we agree this level of care fits your case, the next step is a Foundational Phase. Complex, layered cases can’t be untangled in a single appointment — they need careful review, pattern-finding, and a strategy built specifically for you. The Foundational Phase is deliberately front-loaded for that reason: it’s where the real diagnostic thinking and planning happen.
- What the Foundational Phase includes
- An extensive review of your history and records, a detailed interpretation of your testing, and the work of connecting patterns across your symptoms, history, and labs into a coherent clinical strategy — along with the preparation of the documents and materials that guide your care. It also carries your first two months of care. Much of this happens outside your appointments: several hours of clinical review, research, and preparation you never see, but that shape everything that follows.
- Investment & transparency
- Comprehensive functional care is a meaningful private-pay commitment — of both your resources and your effort — and it costs considerably more than the consultation. We think you should expect that going in. If we determine together that this is the right care for you, we’ll walk through the current Foundational Phase investment and payment options clearly, in writing, at your consultation — before you decide whether to move forward. You’ll never be asked to commit to a number you haven’t seen.
- After the Foundational Phase
- There’s no monthly membership and no subscription to maintain. Once the foundation is set, care continues as time-based follow-up visits, scheduled as your case needs them. Each visit’s length reflects the actual clinical work that stage calls for — not only the time together, but the chart review, lab interpretation, planning, and protocol updates that go with it. You pay for the care your case requires at the time, and nothing more.
- Labs & testing
- Quoted separately and ordered only when clinically warranted. Some labs may be eligible for insurance or HSA/FSA reimbursement through your provider — we’ll tell you which.
However your case unfolds, you’ll know exactly what it costs before you decide anything — reviewed clearly, in writing, at your consultation. If now isn’t the right season for this kind of care, the Learning Center is free and always open.
You’ll know exactly where you stand
If we’re the right fit, you’ll receive your recommended care program in writing — testing, timeline, follow-up cadence, and total investment. You decide on your own time.
If we’re not, we’ll say so plainly and point you toward the kind of care that serves you better. An honest no is part of good medicine.
If you proceed, testing begins right away, results are reviewed together, and your personalized protocol starts with scheduled support at every step — you’re never left wondering what’s next.
Asked often, answered plainly
Do you take insurance?
No. Genesis is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance for visits. Some labs may be reimbursable through your insurance or HSA/FSA; we’ll identify which as we go.
Do I have to live near Elverson?
No — we care for women in person and via telehealth across Pennsylvania. The process is identical either way.
Do I stop seeing my current doctors?
No. We work alongside your existing physicians, not in place of them. Functional care is an added layer of investigation, and we’re glad to coordinate.
How long until I feel different?
Honestly: it depends on how long your body has been compensating. Most comprehensive cases are structured over eight to eighteen months. What you’ll have quickly is understanding — the plan explains what’s driving your symptoms before we ask your body to change.
Will I just be sold supplements?
No. Supplements are one tool inside a protocol that also covers nutrition, sleep, stress physiology, and retesting — and every recommendation is tied to a finding in your results.
