A clear path, before you commit to anything

Working with Genesis Functional Wellness is a real clinical partnership — and it isn’t the right path for everyone. This page explains exactly who we serve, how the process works, and what it costs, so you can decide with clarity.

This work is a fit for some — not all

This may be a good fit if…

  • You have ongoing hormone, thyroid, fertility, digestive, or metabolic symptoms that haven’t been explained
  • You’ve been told your labs are “normal” but you don’t feel normal
  • Your case feels complex — multiple diagnoses, years of history, a thick folder of results
  • You’re open to change — ready to invest time and attention and to do the real work of diet, habits, and lifestyle, guided step by step
  • You want a clinician who listens to your full story and gives you a clear, guided plan

This may not be the right fit if…

  • You need urgent or emergency care — please contact your physician or call 911
  • You’re hoping a supplement will fix things on its own, without changing anything else — real results ask more than that
  • You want medication-only management of symptoms
  • You’re seeking care billed through insurance — Genesis is a private-pay practice
  • You aren’t able to participate in your own care — the plan only works when it’s followed

Not sure which column you’re in? That’s exactly what the Fit Assessment is for.

How the process works

Four unhurried steps

1

Check the fit

Take the 3-minute Fit Assessment, or simply call the office. We’ll tell you honestly whether your case is one we serve well.

2

Share your story

Before your consult you’ll complete a detailed health history and send recent labs, so Dr. Abby reviews your case before you ever sit down.

3

The initial consultation

A full-length appointment — in person in Elverson or via telehealth — walking through your history, your symptoms, and what we’d investigate.

4

Testing → plan → support

Targeted testing builds your complete clinical picture. Then a personalized protocol, with scheduled follow-ups and guided adjustments.

The initial consultation

Your full story, finally heard

This is not a seven-minute appointment. Your consultation is a dedicated session with Dr. Abby — your chronological health history, every prior lab and diagnosis, and the patterns no one has connected yet.

You’ll leave with a clear read on what we believe is going on, what testing would confirm it, and what working together would look like — timeline, structure, and cost. No pressure, no obligation to continue.

Transparent, private-pay care

Genesis Functional Wellness is a private-pay practice. We do not bill insurance for visits. This is a deliberate choice: it’s what allows unhurried appointments, testing chosen by clinical need rather than coverage rules, and a plan built around you instead of a billing code.

The consultation
A flat $375 for a full session with Dr. Abby — the same for every new patient, and a clear place to start before you commit to anything more. No packages to decode.
How care is built
Comprehensive care runs as a program, not per-visit billing. It begins with a foundational phase — several hours of case preparation plus your first two months of care, with longer appointments to do the deep work — and then continues as an ongoing monthly membership that carries the longer arc of resolution and maintenance.
Priced to your case
You’ve likely paid before — for short, expensive visits that ended with a shrug and no real change. Here, your investment buys work, not just time in a room. Most of it happens between visits: reading your labs, researching the patterns, and building and adjusting your protocol. It’s an honest price — not the cheapest, and far less than care that bills more to do less — scaled to the complexity of your case and measured by whether you actually move toward your goals.
The arc of care
Real change is layered — nutrition and macros, weight and metabolism, inflammation, gut health, hormones and thyroid, nutrient status, detox and liver health. The work is heaviest early: the first year tends to be the most active, with the closest attention to diet, lifestyle, supplements, and labs. For many individuals, things begin to ease around a year to eighteen months, settling into lighter maintenance — though every case moves at its own pace, and this is a guide, not a clock. Supplements are one tool, not a magic fix; the individuals who get the most are the ones who lean into the changes, and our job is to make each one clear and doable.
Labs & testing
Quoted separately and ordered only when clinically warranted. Some labs may be eligible for insurance or HSA/FSA reimbursement through your provider — we’ll tell you which.
Payment
Card, HSA/FSA where eligible, and structured monthly payments — so a thorough program fits a real budget.

Because your program is built around your case, the exact figures are walked through with you at your consultation — in writing, before you decide anything. It’s a meaningful investment in real answers; if now isn’t the right season for it, the Learning Center is free and always open.

After the consult

You’ll know exactly where you stand

If we’re the right fit, you’ll receive your recommended care program in writing — testing, timeline, follow-up cadence, and total investment. You decide on your own time.

If we’re not, we’ll say so plainly and point you toward the kind of care that serves you better. An honest no is part of good medicine.

If you proceed, testing begins right away, results are reviewed together, and your personalized protocol starts with scheduled support at every step — you’re never left wondering what’s next.

Questions

Asked often, answered plainly

Do you take insurance?

No. Genesis is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance for visits. Some labs may be reimbursable through your insurance or HSA/FSA; we’ll identify which as we go.

Do I have to live near Elverson?

No — we care for women in person and via telehealth across Pennsylvania. The process is identical either way.

Do I stop seeing my current doctors?

No. We work alongside your existing physicians, not in place of them. Functional care is an added layer of investigation, and we’re glad to coordinate.

How long until I feel different?

Honestly: it depends on how long your body has been compensating. Most comprehensive cases are structured over eight to eighteen months. What you’ll have quickly is understanding — the plan explains what’s driving your symptoms before we ask your body to change.

Will I just be sold supplements?

No. Supplements are one tool inside a protocol that also covers nutrition, sleep, stress physiology, and retesting — and every recommendation is tied to a finding in your results.

What if I’m not sure I’m ready?

Take the Fit Assessment — it’s three minutes, private, and obligation-free. Or start with the Learning Center and come back when the time is right.
